2025 MG MG4 EV XPOWER AWD: range and charging guide
MG’s original European XPOWER specification uses a 64 kWh battery and a 385 km WLTP range. The former 249-mile figure was not a verified EPA rating.

EPA and WLTP use different test procedures. A miles-to-kilometres conversion changes the unit only; it does not convert one test cycle into another. Neither rating is a guaranteed motorway or winter range.
Which version should you compare?
XPOWER uses a dual-motor AWD configuration. Do not use the higher range of a rear-wheel-drive Long Range MG4 for this version; verify that the seller’s model-year specification matches the reference.
Charging this vehicle
Check charging specifications separately from motor power. The high output of the drive motors is not a DC charging rating.
Planning your daily use
Start with the exact configuration's certified range and leave an arrival reserve. Where the trim or certification is unresolved, confirm the vehicle documents before using a numerical range estimate. Road speed, weather, load and battery condition can all change the distance between stops.
Battery, price and ownership checks
A battery specification should state whether it is gross or usable capacity. EPA wall-energy consumption includes charging losses, so multiplying it by range does not establish battery size. We do not present an unverified catalog pack estimate as a manufacturer specification.
